Hi there!

I get strange black artefacts (as shown on the pic) when I render some of Stonemasons buildings.
Is this a polygon thingie?  I´ve tried with and without "smooth polygon" but no difference...
This happens when using lights with Raytrace shadows.

( I always adjust the shadows by settting shadow blur radius to 1 and shadow min bias
to a lower number (around 0.2).)

Would be happy for some help!

That looks like a shadow bias problem to me.
I've seen figures before for it somewhere when I used to use Poser for rendering.
IIRC you may have to set it really high to get rid of it, typically 5 or 6, then again IIRI it could be the other way [lower], but you already have lower setttings, so I'd go higher!

Injustice will be avenged.

I have had problems with some of Stonemason's stuff (more in animations than in still pictures) because of the intensity of the bump maps. Scaling back the intensity of the bump maps in the material room (or getting rid of them altogether, depending on the look you want) may help.

No, if you look closely you will see his shadow on the ground.
