Hi everyone;
After finally figuring out how to V4 to get heels to fit her that were props instead of conforming clothes. I would like to thank MMDZ Models and DreamerZ Loft for their mini tutorial that came with the freebie mules here at rosity for that part :)
I would like to know what I do to make her heels stay put. when I move the character around.
Seems if I do drop to floor again, I have to reset the heels again.
I assume it is parenting that resolves that, but I do not see that option.
I am not looking at the right place to find it?
Also would it be wise to make them a smart prop, and if so what would I parent to.. the foot, toes, or?
Thanks :)

Those shoes are already smart-propped to the Foot, so you shouldn't need
to change the parenting.
Poser's "drop to floor" action is intelligent.... it knows when a shoe is parented
to the foot, and drops the whole figure down until the lowest point on the
lowest shoe is touching the ground. It doesn't move the shoes or change
the bend of the feet.
I think maybe you have IK (inverse kinematics) turned on. When IK is on,
the feet and shoes do weird things. On the main menu, find Figure: Inverse Kinematics,
and uncheck both Legs. The drop action should work better after that.

ah the evil IK thing again.. lol
yes I did notice they still stay with the foot, but either the heels went into the mud, or the bend of the ankle changed bit.
but yeah I did have IK on..
thank you :)
I sometimes wonder why that thing is even there, when it seems you have to turn it off all the time.

Yeah, it really should have been OFF by default. It's useful for quick
posing sometimes, but mostly it's just a problem.

sounds like a good project for one of our py script gurus around here :)
by the way you know where there is maybe a good tutorial about fitting dynamic clothes for Poser 6 at rosity or elsewhere?

There were several good discussions in this forum. Try searching for "dynamic tutorial"
or something like that......

I dont think dynamic was a good idea with shoes ... especially with high heels, the only shoes who dont need bending ( it's my try ! ), pose your model and in last pose the feet ( some creators have a feet pose for theyr shoes ), after you've just to adjust them, it's what i do anyway !

Yes I agree, Anthanasius. Shoes really don't require the demand that higher body part do, aside from twisting ankles or wiggle a toe
Seems to be ok now. thanks :)
