A while ago, when I first ventured into Renderocity, I came across a great illustration of a dark forest with a fairy caught in a trap and another fairy trying to pull her out. Along the path in the background comes a man in a cloak carrying a lantern, checking his traps. I believe it was called 'the trapper' but have searched to no avail. If anyone knows this illustration, could you let me know

I believe that the picture you are referring to is indeed called "The Trapper" by Steven Stahlberg
