I can't find it on the DAZ site... DO you have a direct URL?

They reloaded the files in your downloads... look in your account.

Nothing new in my account. Same file of the original Carrara 7. nothing about an update.

May be taking them awhile to get everyone's account updated... I got the files about an hour ago.

You might want to check the stickie thread at DAZ. They have a little list of the need DL's and the rest is just the same as the last time you DL'ed it. Save you some time not having to DL everything.

this post listed which files http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?p=1704342#1704342 to download again.
I thought they said the daz content didn't change only the native one did

You may need to reset your download for the original Carrara 7, which should give you the new programs to download (plus all the content from the previous download; I got 43 files to download when it came out).
I've never had to reset my downloads, but DAZ gives this as the procedure:
Quote - If you run out of download attempts, you will need to reset your downloads. You can reset your downloads by Logging In to your Account Page, and clicking on 'Itemized Order History.' Scroll down until you see the items you wish to download. Click the Reset Button to the right of the item. Your downloads will be reset shortly. You are allowed 3 resets per product per 3 month period.

So I got it but ultimately, I am still a tad aggravated because it doesn't state that the code version I downloaded is 7.1.1.
If I received an email stating that 7.1.1 was available, I missed it.
This code update didn't go really smoothly for me.

I never got an e-mail from Daz, I was just hanging out at their forums and saw it was available. Honestly, I think they rushed the update through, and I know they're already at work on a 7.2 update.
I recently noticed someone talking about Hexagon 2.5 (which was updated a loooooong time ago, apparently) and I checked mine, which was still at 2.1. I don't recall ever getting an e-mail about that, although it might have been mentioned in one of the newsletters. I was still able to get the update, but I wouldn't have known about it except from reading a forum post.
It'd be nice if Daz had update checks built into their software, but, if I had to choose, I'd be perfectly happy to let them focus on adding new features.
Tashar59 posted Thu, 12 March 2009 at 6:25 AM
Update checks would not work for many of us because our main machines are not connected to the net and the ones that do have it are a friggin pain on the machine unless they have a way to turn it all off which some ####@@@@####@@@@###@#@#@# software don't.
Daz is known for poor update notices. You have to check once in a while to see what's up or your going to miss it.
7.2 ? I wonder if thay are going to try to charge for it. Or they might wait till 7.5 and then pull a C6.5 on us and force you to buy Version 8.
