In the Threads list, under the thread title, there is a bunch of quick links if there are many replies. For example:

[ Goto Page: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 ... last ]

The problem is that sometimes the last link is wrong. It displays and links to the wrong page number.

For example, at this moment there is a thread in the Poser forum which is 15 pages long. But its "last" link points to page 16, and if you click on the link, you see only an empty page with the box for answers.

The wrong link is http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2758788&page=16

while it should be http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2758788&page=15**

It seems to happen when the page is almost full of replies and the new one, but not yet written, would create the new page.

this happens when you change the default number of replies per page to a different amount. if you were on the Default setting, the page numbers are correct you see.

I have never changed the default number of replies per page. I did not ever know it was possible to do so.

Anyway, the system knows which number has been set, so IMHO it's still a bug.

I remember this happening before on a thread that went to 24 or so pages... it had to do with some posts being deleted or removed by the users. The admins can see all the posts, so their count is right, but the "last" page actually extends past the end of what regular users can see, so it comes up empty for them. Sometimes, you'll get posts on the last page if the thread is still active, depending on how many missing posts there are, then the last page will show blank again as you add a whole page worth.

It's just a minor issue, but slightly annoying when you want to check the last replies to a thread and the result is only a black page. You must click on the previous number, then scroll down the whole page.

A nice little improvement would be an icon in the "Last reply" column, to bring you directly to that last reply. Many forums have such an icon.

Might not be little, actually... depends on whether they have the source code for the forum software. OTOH, I know that a link can be generated to point to a specific message, because the search engine does that. So, maybe.

Perhaps a post in the Suggestion Box is in order...
