I know it's wildly OT, but I have a friend whose kid needs help. The story can be found here, and his parents do accept paypal donations. I know the kid's dad personally, it's not some nigerian prince scheme or what not, and the photos were taken by a close friend of mine, to help out the little guy. He needs stem cell treatment in China, something that would go up to 27000 dollars.

If you can spare a few bucks, just log in to paypal and give the kid a chance to see.

Has he tried Canada..I believe we do that up here and it's closer to most places than China. Also we don't put melamine in everything to increase it's apparent protien weight.... I'd help but am on a fixed income that has me fixed in one spot but I will send prayers.. ...

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

prayers are just as good, bobby. thank you. incredibly enough, for a country our size and unimportance, he has already managed to gather up $1400 in the first day. quite incredible

I agree with Bobby.  We have one of the best Hospitals for kids here called "http://www.sickkids.ca/"

I've seen many news storys of kids being flown here for operations that they couldnt get otherwise in other country's.

This is the hospital I'm talking about.

I will do everything I can....including prayers.

I think I have a couple of bucks doing nothing in my paypal account. I'll see what I can do. Every little helps, right?
