Well, hullo.... I've upgraded to photoshop CS4 extended recently and all my brush that worked fine under CS3 are now with a real lag, like it takes a little longer than forever for them to show up ... and this is horrible since I paint really fast.....
Now, I've upgraded my tablets driver
nvidia drivers
and photoshop itself.....
runinng on a dual core 3.2 with 4 gigs ram blowindows xp sp3
anyhow, any clues will be most apreciated, oh yeah, I do have a samsung monitor and it runs on 32bits color, when I switch to 16 there's less lag but the images trully sucks.....
thanks
vince

Have you tried switching off OGL to see if there is any difference. Turn it off, close CS4, restart it and open up the same image.

thanks, I did that and I still have the same lag, one thing that helped a bit maximizing the cache.... still I have a lag..... it was horrible to work with it today, almost went back to cs3, wich I might ended up doing just for the speed..... anyhow thanks

Did you install the 11.0.1 update?

Here's another link that may help if you are using a Wacom tablet

Have you figured this out yet? If not try checking your preferences?
Edit > Preferences > Performance > Let Photoshop use 100%
Hope this helps. :D

hey, I half figure it out, I still have some lag, althougt not enough to b... me. still, what I´ve done was to turn off the side strips on my wacom, and the buttons too wich I never use anyway and that helped, and today I just donwloaded the new adobe update, but didnt really tried today.
still I´ll upgrade the performace and see if it gets anybetter.... I also switched my video card.
anyhow, I´ll let you know how it goes..
thanks mystikel
