Okay, I'm actually typing this at work so i'll be blunt and to the point.
After a several month break (my poser work is rubbish hehe), I've decided to come back to it. I reinstalled poser, added back all the things i've downloaded and it doesn't work. Basically, I go into the program, try to load a model and it closes. doesn't matter what model, but it closes.
Anyways, any help would be appreciated.

Try updating your video driver... I had this with Poser 7 a couple of months ago. I went to the web site for the video card (nVidia in my case) and got the latest version and installed it. Cleared the problem right up.

Try this: switch your Preview window to use SreeD before trying to load anything into your scene. (Right click in the Document window and select SreeD).
If you can load and preview a model using SreeD, the problem is almost certainly related to your graphics card or driver. Back to Cap'n J.

It was indeed the graphics driver, and has now been sorted. Kudos to you CaptainJack1, it's allowed me to begin Poser work again :)

There is no upgrade pricing from P3, you'd need to buy a full copy (but it is on sale for $99.99, as is P6 for $29.99).
