If you're trying to render directly to a movie file, then don't.
You're only likely to succeed (past say 30 frames) if you render to seperate images and then assemble the movie using other software.

Try updating your video card driver or your video card is substandard so try changing it. Alternatively, right click on the preview window and change from Open GL to sreed. Finally you can render your scenes using firefly renderer instead of preview renderer. The firefly renderer does not make use of the video card. Please let me know which of these alternatives that work for you in your case.
