Sam...to get a link live please copy the URL into the little box below this dialogue you type into with http:// at the start of the line. Make sure there's only one http:// at the start of the line tho. I simply hi light the whole box, the included http:// as well and paste the link. As you can see you can also give  a Title/Name to the link.. ...

LOL...quite funny and a great way to showcase a lot of renders...really a good way to get folks to check out the whole full size gallery. BTW...was that MS Movie Maker you used...looks familiar in format to theirs....in any case...well done.. ...

Pretty funny stuff!

couple of spelling typos:

Number

Frontier

This

Could have done with a tiny bit longer on some of the more complex images, but all pretty minor glitches really.

Darned good idea for a showreel.

@ cmcc…I know this is beyond your control but clicking on your link in the post above exposed my computer to a phishing site and tripod did in fact plant malware on my system. It redirected me to a site posing as Windows Security Center flashing all kinds of virus infection pop-up screens claiming my system was infected with some 352 virus infections. This in spite of the fact that my anti-virus software has enabled pop-up protection. I’ve since did a total scan on my system during which the tripod cookie was found. For those unfamiliar with this type of phishing check out the attached link.

“Flaming”? Well I thought I was forewarning other would be link clickers to the pending hazard and rightfully so. I appreciate the fact that you might be letting tripod know of this public announcement and well it should be made but most everyone knows already that tripod is a gross violator from way back when. I’ve had an account with them going back many years and it was this very behavior that caused me to forego their services. If you want to hear flaming...let me know! 🆒

Its got to be annoying to be told your work may be spreading nasties but if Quest got an alert surely the responsible thing to do is report it here to save others coming unstuck. Thats not what I would call flaming, something this forum is thankfully free of. Must admit I didnt get any problems when I looked  on there but I didnt see every clip and AV progs are notorious for reporting different results. Like Quest, I have heard similar things about tripod and wouldn`t use them myself.

Quest,

Damn! I already clicked on that link, saw something odd and clicked off quickly, what do I need to do to remove the virus?

I just did a quick scan and found that while firefox is only "Very Dangerous" winword is "Highly Dangerous"!

I didn't go as deep as you did on that tripod site, I only clicked the once and then ran away.

Would that mean I didn't go far enough to get any viruses, or should I do a long scan as well?

Fran, I don't know how selective the malware might be. It could certainly be a purely random thing and I happened to get caught in the crosshairs of this particular phishing scheme. I have Trend Micro regularly scheduled and constant Internet firewall scanning enabled as my virus and malware protection so I just had Trend scan for malware as the screens started poping. I also went to Microsoft's Windows Security Center and had my computer scanned and update my security center malware removal software. Trend Micro has a free onsite scanning feature as I'm sure many anti-virus packages do here:

Thanks Quest, I'll look into that, although my antivirus is Kaspersky, not Trend Micro.
