Subject: How do you make thumbnails?

I have a problem in making thumbnails -- can anyboby give step by step directions please.

I open a new image in PS making the background transparent and of a size that I'm going to use as my thumbnail.

After that it's pretty much dependent upon what you want to make the thumbnail for and what you want it to look like so I'd need more information about what you want to thumb before I can go any further.

You could also try this free software, which works very well. I use it quite a bit for quick thumbnails.

If you are using photoshop go to Image - Image Size and enter the size you want.
If the file is too big in size go to Image - Save for web.
Up comes a new screen.
Use the slider to reduce toe file size to what you need
If you image is called something like Beach.jpg or what ever is a good idea to save the thumbnail as something like beachth.jpg.....just putting th on the end reminds you its a thumbnail.
