Subject: error message in Mimic 3.1: polygons reference multiple groups. Please help!

Here's the scenerio: I've got a custom head complete with phonemes and expression morphs that I've brought into Poser 7, where I've created the Cr2 file that I need to use with Mimic.
The head/morphs work fine in Poser. My goal now is to not have to manually keyframe the lip syncs, blinks, head naturalization, etc. Thus...Mimic.

In Mimic, the error message I get when I load up all the necessaries and push "okay" button is:

the OBJ has polygons that reference multiple groups, and so may not work in Mimic

Well, there's no surprise that it doesn't work. There's no animation going on at all.

I'm just using a head, it's not a complete figure. I'd rather not go the route of fashioning a complete figure (the custom head integrated with a stock body), unless this is somehow the root of the problem, which I doubt very much. I'm thinking there might be some fairly simple Poser grouping technique, and only my ignorance of it stands in my way.  Please help me banish my ignorance!

thanks in advance!

This isn't a DAZ Studio question.

Check that you obj file doesn't have overlapping groups - depending on how you made it, and on your export settings from the modeller, it's possible that there's something like a default group encompassing all polygons as well as the required groups for the ehad and eyes (or whatever). Or if the thing has only one group Mimic might not see it as a proper figure at all.
