I've got an interesting problem.
When I import a new character into Vue (6 Pro) from Poser 6 and then try to render it, Vue crashes - every time, and I do mean every time - so I always save it before I render.
And then I go through the ritual of starting Vue back up, bring up the recently saved Vue file and then render it and it goes fine.
I've read in previous posts about there being a corrupted Poser file, but it does not matter what Poser character I use, Vue still crashes, so if it is a corrupted file - and if so, how would I rememedy that reoccurring situation? - then all characters have a corrupted file.
Has anybody experienced the same thing?
And, does any one of the great Vue-Poser adepts out there know how to stop this annoying little habit that Vue has? It would sure save me a bunch of time if I could stop the crashing so fixing this problem would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks.

What operating system do you have? I am using Vista Home Premium and had a serious problem with crashes. I was told to switch the options to run it in XP compatability mode. Just doing this one thing has helped quite a bit. It still occasionally crashes but not nearly as much. I have exported from Daz Studio and imported and not had much of a problem. Certainly NOT crashing every render attempt. That's my 2 cents. To get more help, I suspect you'll have to be more specific about your specs.

I had a similiar problem. Re-installing Vue worked and no problems since.. Here was my work around until I got frustrated enough to reload everything: Import Object into an empty scene, save object as .VOB.

Attached Link: "I can see the sun" tutorial
Perhaps attenuating the light intensity would do the trick - Edit the light, in the lighting tab chose 'custom' and edit the filter to have less intensity at the source so it doesnt wash out the whole scene but enough to light the subject. Artur demonstrates it very clearly in his tutorial in the link above. (and the rest of his points are interesting to watch too)"I paint that which comes from the imagination or from dreams,
or from an unconscious drive. I photograph the things that I do not
wish to paint, the things which already have an
existence."
