Hi

I have Poser 7 and wish to install Hiro 4 base.

I did what I do normally and made a folder in an external runtime.

When I try to install it say when used with Poser TM Hiro 4 base must

be installed in the same directory as the application executable.

I presume this means Poser 7 exe file.

Noted it need Michael 4 to use

When I try it will not

Any Help appreciated to install Hiro 4 base appreciated.

Note I am a novice so step by step instruction appreciated.

I never had a problem with Hiro 3.

Thanks

First, write as normal sentences and paragraphs. it's a bit confusing trying to read the way you have it.

You need the M4 base first. H4 will not work without it.

Install M4 to Poser 7 and let it initialize on install or use the desktop icon after install.

Now if you are trying to install in a runtime that is not in Poser, you need to make a dummy folder first. Copy the Poser .exe to that file. Then everything will install.

Now you can install H4 to that folder. Don't forget to initialize H4.

Then you can either move that runtime to where you want or just add it to your runtime list in Poser. Don't forget to delete the Copy Poser .exe before you start poser up or strange things can happen.

Not impossible though. I saw this as the result of translating software. I know when I need Japanese or similar, I keep to short, single sentences, too :)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Once Hiro 4 is installed, there are two ways to access his morphs.  One, directly in the Properties Dials of Michael 4.  Spin the dial to 1 to morph M4 to H4.  Second, the Hiro 4 icon in the Figures>DAZ People folder of your library.  Create a blank scene and click on the icon to load the fully morphed H4 model.

But everyone should speak English, gosh-darn-it-all!!!!! :)

(To the original poster, for whom English is a second or possibly third language, that's a joke. No offence to you meant.)

You need to install H4 to the same runtime as M4, but with Poser 7 it doesn't need to be the main runtime.

I put an empty text file named 'Poser.exe' into each of my external runtimes to prevent such issues.

Just never, ever copy that directory to your main Poser directory without first deleting that file.

Yes. it was late and I never thought about that. Sorry. I had finished trying to read a post that the poster didn't use paragraphs, so it was one long continuous paragraph. Never did finish reading it. LOL. So I was in a bad mood for wasting time on that. but there is no excuse for it.

So I apologize for that comment. Just blame it on lack of sleep and a major brain fart.

Hi

Many thanks with your help i have managed to load Hiro 4 and can load it into a scene by clicking on the Hiro icon in Daz figures.

Just a couple of items if you could further assist.

Once loaded I try to change the facial features with the pre set morph for mouth etc and nothing happens. Note it will work with parameters.

His face is a bit cartoony can anyone suggest a face morph I can buy or for free, I am looking for a male teenage face.

Many thanks for your help
