Transposer does not work for me.The Poser import gives me the option to use it ,but nothing happens. My Poser 6.exe is stored on the F:-drive and transposer used to accept it before.I don't know if this is a C7,a Transposer or a 64bit issue.Maybe something else.Anyone who knows more?

Have you told it where all your runtimes are? I keep my runtimes on a seperate drive and to import I have to have them all listed. Otherwise I'll get a character with no hair or clothing.

You don't actually need Transposer with Carrara 7... it should open or import Poser scenes natively.

Yes,I know ( ;) ) but I actually do want to use Transposer in order to import dynamic cloth effects.Beside that I want to have a tool to work properly not searching for a workaround.

Yes I did .The result is allways an empty scene.Usually I know how to use Transposer and it allways worked for me,but not this time.

Transposer had separate versions for C5 and C6. I assume that is the case for C7 as well.
I would like to use cloth also and am looking at saving a dynamic cloth as a pose. That has to be done within poser, first.

I'm not sure if this helps, but when C7 was released I had to call DAZ and have their guy manually put the updated TransPoser in my account downloads. Everything is working fine on my end now :)

I don't have Vista 64 so I'm only pitching in with a couple of things that I actually know about. There is a seperate Transposer for C7 which needs to be downloaded and installed, also one thing I discovered last week was that Transposer won't work if your Poser scene has a Background Image attached to the background node in the materials room. Had a game importing a couple of scenes till I discovered it was the background image that was stalling the Transposer import. Hope you get it sorted.

I renember that Transposer once worked with C7.TransPoser was part of the C7 downloads when I purchased it.I have just reset my C7 downloads at DAZ but Transposer is gone.

I got a mail from the DAZ support team.I have to reset my old transposer 2 for Carrara 5 to get access to the Transpoer 7 file.Okay that's it.

doesn't transposer for carrara 7 only work for poser 6 and not for poser 7 or poserpro?
Love esther
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
Grimmley posted Sat, 18 April 2009 at 10:45 AM
Yes only for Poser 6, you can set up your scene in any Poser but you must have Poser 6 installed for Transposer to work.
Also try unchecking import Poser lights : - I read there was a problem with this, you would want to set up new lights anyway as Carrara lights are far better.
estherau posted Sat, 18 April 2009 at 10:53 AM
Hi, do you mean I just have to have poser 6 somewhere on my puter but I can make the scene in poserpro and save it and it will import okay?
Happy to change lighting, it's all the clothes etc, and also natively importing into C7 makes C7 terribly slow on my mac to the point of being not really useable.

Hello estherau,
Yes I import into both C6pro and C7pro - using Transposer - both from Poser 7 and Poser 7 Pro, but I wouldn't be able to do either if I didn't also have Poser 6 installed on my PC.
Importing Poser lights can snafu the import though as they're too different for C6 or C7 to handle them properly. Also having a background image can stall the import, but it's a piece of cake to load it into the Backdrop in C6 or C7 so I always take the background image out of Poser before I save for an import if I'm using one.
As for Macs I can't tell you, but it's supposed to work the same:)
-Timberwolf- posted Sat, 18 April 2009 at 12:11 PM
Unchecking Poser light doesn't help.I lead my Transposer path to Poser 6.exe , but Carrara refuses to store it .Next lunch it only offers again C:/ ... / Poser 5 . (HELLOOOO ;DAZ !!! POSER 6 IS INSTALLED IN F: -DRIVE. LISTEN ,WE HAVE 2009 NOW AND THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE , WHO HAVE MORE THAN ONE PARTION ON THEIR HDD .MY C-DRIVE IS SYSTEM ONLY .GET IT DAZ !!!)
holyforest posted Sat, 18 April 2009 at 1:18 PM
I had some similar issues with C7 and Transposer. I had to uninstall and reinstall and reset before it works.
I only use transposer (Poser6 only) with a Mac. I didn't try under vista with my PC, but it appears that Transposer is more unpredictable with C7 than with C6.

I guess you're running C7 on Vista as an Administrator? That makes a difference.

Estherau,
Create your pz3 in Poser and save it, then close Poser.
Open C7 and select 'Open' from the file menu once the splash screen disappears.
Use the navigation dialogue box that appears to find your pz3 and select it.
The Poser scene import box appears, select Transposer from the radio buttons along the top.
Deselect Import lights, and deselect Import animation if your not importing an animation.
Then click OK.

Hi there,
well I tried to open rather than import but it didn't' give me the option to import any other way except as usual. At least the shoes stayed on her feet, unlike import, although the pendant still flew off her necklace and enlarged.
Since it was native I thought I would make her dress fit better. It has some morphs in a body part called skirt, however there were no sliders for these morphs, only sliders for the morphs in the body section of the dress.

Hello Esther,
Looking through the manual it says you can File > Open or File > Import, doesn't seem to make a difference, both are ok to get to the Transposer dialogue box.
The file name for Transposer for C7 on the PC is Ca_ac007_Trnspsr2C7.exe, there hasn't been an update for it yet so it's the only C7 Transposer file version available - for PC.
