Anyone tried running P7 in Windows 7? I'm not sure why it wouldn't work unless it was version locked, but you never know. I have the beta running as duel boot. So if no one else has tried it I can check for myself. But I'm not sure if SM is watching installs on a given serial number. So I'm hesitant to install if I don't plan on keeping the OS build (I've rebuilt my main system twice this year... if they are watching, my activity probably looks pretty sketchy).
I'm building a new system that will probably come online around the time Win7 RC1 is released. So unless there are any show stoppers with my apps, I'll probably just go with Win7. I love it so far.

How do you get the beta for Win 7, do you have to be on a team or is it an open beta?
Thanks

Someone has already tried a Poser install under Windows 7 beta and reported everything running fine. As to whether other apps will comply with the new OS remains to be seen.

The open beta for Windows 7 is closed.
I would think that the same hoops you go through with Vista are the same for Windows 7.

Marque, dlfurman is correct, the beta was closed some time ago. But apparently they will be opening it back up once the release candidate is put out there. No idea if or when that will happen.
Ok hborre, thanks for the info. I haven't run into any problems either, just a few that were hard coded to Vista or XP (rather than allowing versions newer than a certain one). I'm really happy with it so far.

I have been playing around with Win 7 for a while now....it does work well with Poser 7 and Vue Infinate 6. I have not had any issues. Sharen The beta version will stop working in August 2009...then no more testing. It is so way better then Vista.
