I'm after creating some thin tubes to make something like the legs on a stool. What's the best way to go about it in Blender ? in Hexagon, I'd draw a line then thicken it but I've not found anything similar in Blender yet (assuming it has such a function that is)
Any tips ?
Frank

Curves, use one curve to create the shape of the leg, another curve to create the profile (tube shape ) of the leg. With the first curve selected look in Curves and Surfaces tab and where it says 'BevOb:' enter the name of the profile curve. Use a CurveCircle for the profile if you want an enclosed shape.

Fab, thanks for that. I'll give it a shot when I get home

You could also use 'solidify selection' under the scripts menu to give give something thickness.
For example create a cylinder without ends and run the script to create a tube.

That worked but I dunno if it would be helpful for making thin tubes with bends all over the place. I'll do some investigating and see what works best. Thanks for the tips :)
