ok back from the proverbial dead...and I go get the free M4 base...decided to try it out.
installed it in a fresh install of p6(patches applied). went to pop him in a blank scene and ....nothing....saw the icon to let me know something was going on but no model...waited....waited and after (no joke) 8 mins it shows up. and promptly locks up the puter.
So I boot, and try again. same.
I boot, check what is running in the background of the puter...turn off as much as I can. try to do m4 again....promptly does the same as before.
I am running windows vista home, p6, I have a couple of gig of mem.
so is this an issue with m4? and if so how do I fix it?
(though honestly I still prefer m3 with the bishonen morphs)

You did initialize and updated the install after loading him in?

It crashes the computer - or just Poser?
This is likely the OpenGL problemm. I had that when I installed M4 after my year-long hiatus. Turned out I needed an nVidia-opdate.
Try switcing to SreeD for preview. If you can now open M4 without crashing, then it IS the OpenGL issue. Search for an update for your graphics card then :)
Hope it helps!

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
