Is anyone else seeming to get selective email notifications of their favourite artists? I thought the artists had left.
Is there a problem with this feature, because I would say I am getting drop off of at least half my list?
Any help much appreciated, thanks :)

Many other members have noticed this, as well.
Renderosity seems to be in denial about this issue.
... and, as we know, denial is very powerful.
Does this seem to happen more on the day (Wednesday)
that the renderosity newsletter goes out?

When the moon is in its fifth quarter?
So frustrating, that issues are left "avoided"...
Oh well wait and see if I get any answers? I won't continue to hold my breath ;)

MGD, We are not in denial, we have long been saying that there are email delays when the newsletters go out..thats a massive mailing and everything slows down.
Tayla, please let me know if you do not start receiving your notifications with a couple of days.
Thanks!

there are email delays when the newsletters go out
That means that someone made a choice, a decision,
... decided that the newsletters were more important than the eBot messages.
As far as I remember, this is the first time a Renderosity Admin made
a connection between eBot delays and the newsletter.
Up until now, the answers have been of the form,
'no one else has complained', or
'I got all of mine OK', or
'how are your SPAM filters set'? ...
Here's a new idea ... Why not take a second look at that decision?
... perhaps set the newsletter process to a lower priority, or
have it pause for 1 minute every 1000 messages; or ... whatever
That might give the eBot messages a fair chance at the outgoing eMail server?
Perhaps someone should take a look at the eBot process to see why it **
drops** some messages instead of retrying?
Just a concept, or so ...
Comments, please ...

Sorry but I don't think you understand, it's not a case of getting the emails late. Some of the artists on my list I never get notifications. I have checked them all to be on. But the older artists I had added I don't get emails about at all. One contacted me the other day saying that I hadn't been around so it's not just me that has this issue. These artists are posting up work as well, it's not that they have become inactive.
I cannot gauge even if I delete them and then re add them if that resolves the issue, am I knocking someone else off my list?

You can send specific information to admin@renderosity.com so we can research further. We will need fav artists usernames and image titles you have not received ebots for so we can try to isolate the issue for you.
The thing is that only a very very small number of members compared to the thousands that are sent out seem to have an issue so its more probable that there is a specific issue related to why that member isn't getting some ebots as opposed to a sitewide all encompassing issue. If it were then no one would receive ebots and that right now isn't the case so we have to look at a situation on a case by case basis to see what is going on.
Thank you

So because I am in what you say is a minority I have to work my butt off going through 50+ artists and checking to see if I got notifications of all their work? This potentially going back some months?
I don't think I am getting all the notifications about items on my wishlist going on sale either. Again it's not all items, but how I track this I have no idea.
I'll try and look through and get a list sent to the Admins but first of all I have partial sight so it'll take me a while to compile a list. Bear in mind please that this may well not be isolated, if people aren't getting updates they assume that the artists they are following are just not around anymore. Which is what I was told by a separate member, when I have only taken time away when my eye situation was really bad.
I think you are underestimating the problem because you are basing it on reported cases, what if members have no idea it's happening? I'd say server issues are occurring, I don't think it's entirely down to the newsletters taking priority either. I think there is a far wider issue happening here which is being ignored because it's something most people won't notice.
Since when has a site geared up for content sales really been that worried about whether artists hear about one another's new pieces? Or that something they have on their wishlist has been reduced? Surely selling it at full price is more attractive?
So may I ask, if I put the work in to find each and every problematic notification will you, the Rendo' staff actually do anything or try to do something? Because I feel if I put that much time and effort into fault reporting I deserve to have the issue at least diagnosed and if at all possible resolved?
Many thanks I await a response here, please be honest and I can then make an informed decision about the time involved to route out the lost images.

I didn't think it would be that time consuming for you to let me know a few of the specific artists you weren't receiving notifications on since you are aware that you are missing them then was assuming you had a few favs names and the image name already to pass on to us for research?
I don't need you to go back on any or to go through them all but just right when you notice something you didn't receive on a specific artist and image then let us know that info.
And yes of course we will research it to try and isolate the problem.
