As this is my first post I appologise in advance if this is in the wrong place first a bit of background to explain why i do things this way , i used to use poser 7 in xp and then later built a pc mainly for rendering and this had vista 64 bit on i found that poser 7 seemed to give me lots of problems in vista so i went on to buy poser pro and that was better but to save some trouble ( so i thought ) i just linked the poser 7 runtimes into poser pro. Every time i add new things I still put them in the poser 7 runtimes so they still appear in poser pro. I do a lot of my poser rendering in vue 7 xstream and either import the poser scene or poser object saved as an obj Now to the actual problem when i import the object in to vue ,vue cant find textures or jpgs and i have to look for them so first is there a place that I should save poser obj to so that vue finds all the bits its needs? or and this would be usefull for poser as well can I add my poser runtime to an indexed search in vista (and how do I do that) this would help for those few times when poser cant find bits and I need to search for them i wonder if this is a consequence of putting them in pose 7 runtime and then linking them in poser pro i have a buuton on my mouse that brings up vista search but defaults to only indexed files so i have to keep showing it where i want to search it would save me a lot of time if it would just default to poser runtime .thanks for any help from many one who followed that and has any advice.

In the preferences of Vue you can point to additional texture folders. Go to the "Operations" tab and point to your .../Poser/Textures/ folder.
The next time Vue can't find a texture it will suggest one from this folder. Click yes to all and you are done!
Cheers!

There are several old threads about PoserPro and Vue in this forum. If you make a search you might find some useful hints.
I did a quick search (not thorough) and I found these threads:

By the way, I also have Vista 64 bits (Home Premium) and Poser 7 and I never had any problems with this combination.
If you use Vue, I don't think there's many advantages in having PoserPro instead of Poser7. The main advantages of PoserPro are not very relevant for Vue users, from what I read.

poser 7 crashed quite a bit in vista but since using poser pro ive not had any problems so it does appear to be more stable , at least for me on my system, though to be fair to poser 7 it never gave me any trouble when run in xp.

Wow, setting LIB_POPUP_TIMEOUT 0 really really speeds up start up! Like from a minute to 8 seconds! I never use that folder drop down menu anyway.
