Hello everybody,

it has been a while since I've visited the forum for the last time, so please don't get angry if I might ask a too obvious question: is it possible to upgrade to Carrara 7 Pro from Carrara 5 Pro? I have looked on the DAZ3D website and could not find anything in this regard.
Thanks!
Johannes

Try e-mailing Daz and they will inform you of your options.

I know its possible, but the $$ I don't know. Send a message to DAZ customer service and they will respond with some offer for you.
People have been writing here that C6 is available "free" in a recent 3D magazine. You could upgrade from that.

if they require you to have Carrara 6.X then get 3dartist magazine, issue one (its a new one not the old one that just stopped) you can get 6.2 off the cd and should be able to upgrade it.

You can't upgrade from the free version of C6Pro.  You can't register it either.

That's what I thought...

I don't have a problem waiting for C7Pro to be free in a magazine.  I'll barely use the free C6Pro I just got.

DAZ is giving away a full version of Carrara Pro 6.2.1 with loads of content for free.  And still, people are expecting some huge Carrara pro 7 discount just because they don't care about what they just got for free from them.

If I need to do hair in Carrara, I can now.  Been using Carrara Pro 5.1 for years because I still use VectorStyle and Amapi a lot.
