I'm uploading 3 images from a sequence but there seems to be a shadow that flickers on the face of m3. Hopefully you can see from the pics below

i see it. the shadows changes.

shadow map is to low.

can't see it, but this is a well-known problem.  set all lites to non-animating and post screencap of render/movie settings.

I presume you mean the..
Shadow blur radius 0.0
SHadow min bias    0.8
I'll try playing around with these

OK THANKS THE SHADOW MAP WAS 256
SETTING TO 1024 ??
Thanks

renderclipps posted Sun, 03 May 2009 at 7:52 PM

hmmm
taking off the animated lights and increasing the map size to 1024 didn't work (map size was originally 256, gonna try again with 2048)

before you increase the size , select the shadowcam for the light and see how big an area it covers, you may want to zoom it in to cover only your render area.

for animations you may find occasionally that antialiasing causes flicker.

shadow cams are a big thing to be aware of.  Now you are :)
