What the heck is elevation. Does that mean I have to install my Poser 5?

Probably a Vista permissions issue. I don't have Vista, so I'm not sure.

Did have Poser 6 (upgrade) installed on this laptop with Vista, but never 5. Dunno why this is happening now.

right click on the poser.exe and select 'Run as Admin' - that's what it's requesting.
it's not a poser issue as such but a Vista one.
and please slow down and give ppl a chance to help!

Probably would have worked if you took your computer onto the roof to install the software, too.
