Subject: master object troubles on cut-and-paste

I"m running Carrara 6.2.1. I've discovered the joy of promoting instances to master objects - or so I thought. When I cut and paste a model (containing master objects) into a new or different file, then close and reopen that file, the master objects are missing and so the model is all screwed up.

Anybody else have this issue? Or a resolution? Thanks!

I don't think I have ever needed to go down that track but, you may find doing a search of the Carrara 7 Manual of some help.
