Hi All!

It's Challenge Time again!  Here is a snip from geoegress' note to me:

"how about a "Black and White" It is an under used artistic technique that produces some really great pictures. (B&W, grey scale, sketch render, it's what I mean)  "

I always like this kind of topic!  The challenge is for everyone, regardless of their creative tools.  Everyone can enter, whether they are using 2D, 3D, fractal, animation or any other software;  whether they are photographers, writers or even musicians.  The challenge arena is open to all.  Come and join in, test your creative tools against all the others!

The Challenge begins immediately and will close to entries at the end of May.  I will give you a few days notice.  All entries will be to this thread or with a link to a larger image. Voting will begin then in the same thread.

You may enter an existing work if you like, but we would prefer to see a new work created for this challenge... it IS a challenge after all, lol!  You may enter more than one work, but remember that in the voting, each entry will be judged separately. If you choose to enter more than once, please NAME EACH OF YOUR ENTRIES!

Show us your inspiration!!

BLACKS, WHITES, SHADES OF GRAY

LAWS … sacred ‘THOU SHALT NOTS’ of centuries

Conveniently condemning evils for the sake

Of ruling clans or holy creeds all set

To sanctify who lives, who’s saved, who’s damned.

LAWS … reason’s icy logic proving how

Existence ‘BIG BANGED” into being; how

We count the DNA of who and what

We are, our astral physics bending time

And space upon themselves extinguishing

Tomorrow’s hope of numbering its stars.

COLORS …

Demonic blacks in inquisitions thrust

On tortured nightmares with no grace to grasp

Truth.  Our angelic white perfections are

Mirages out of touch with facts.  God’s most

Beloved saints wear crowns of tragic thorns,

The holiest among us bear Job’s doubts;

Not even devils can escape their hells.

It’s grays … those ecstasies of ashes make

Life bearable: remembering a rose

Perfume that haunted springtime’s fleeting breaths,

Electric comets taunting darkness with

Men strutting on its sterile moon, the first

Embrace with flesh before duration turned

A rapture in habits … jaded now

And bored to death with time.  But music still

Infects my soul and resurrected thoughts

Of moments gone encourage me to shout:

“I’VE LIVED AND JOYOUSLY ALIVE!”

This was the first time I've been involved in this forum challenge.  It was fun and thanks to those that were kind enough to vote for my piece(s).  The Dragons now really have something to 'Talk' about.

I'm anxious to see what MCW1917 comes up with.

Images that run around in my head eventually end up in my gallery.

Dragons like to have fun too!  Dragon Mischief Art

Wow! I'm delighted that so many of you enjoyed "Flowers"! Thanks you for your votes!!  There were many fine pieces in this challenge, and I'm proud to have done well among so many other artists.  ;-)
While I spend the morning basking in what I consider my "moment of glory," I'll be pondering a challenge for us to tackle this month....  I'll be baaack. (this afternoon, I promise!).
  Again,  I thank you.  mcw1917
