So I'm creating a scene with a kind of hovel as the focal point, and I modeled an archway for it but was hoping someone might be able to give me some pointers on making a hanging rug for the doorway. I was hoping there would be a way to do so with a terrain, kind of like you would use for a rippling water plane. Or if someone knows of a good freebie that would be cool as well.
Thanks guys!

Attached Link: Flying Carpet
There is a free flying carpet in cornucopia 3d. I suppose you can turn it 90 degree and it will be a hanging carpet? I imagine you can add extra bumps in the material function editor for more ripples waves creases..."I paint that which comes from the imagination or from dreams,
or from an unconscious drive. I photograph the things that I do not
wish to paint, the things which already have an
existence."

Don't know in Vue but if you have Poser you could use the cloth plane and make it dynamic, easy enough to do and then import it as a prop.

If you don't have Poser, I could make one out of dynamic cloth for you and save it as an obj file, but you'd have to texture it yourself.

Actually, that would be awesome! I dont mind having to texture it myself....

Ok I'll try and get it done today, would you prefer it as a Vob?
If so what version of Vue are you using.
How much do you want it to hang, thinking of a pole, hanging over it 50%, 25%, less??

A vob, 3ds or obj would all be fine.....Basically, it's hanging straight down from a wooden plank, so it doesnt need to be too fancy....thanks again!
