...and that's the weird error message I get whenever I try to load a .wav file. The audio files work great on my XP machine, but not with Vista 64-bit. To make things stranger...
...my audio playback/recording works fine with every other program I have, including Mimic Pro, Adobe Premiere, DAZ Studio and several others. But not in Poser.
I've updated Poser.
Updated audio drivers (built in card, I think, not a PCI express card)
.wav files are the ones I always use: 44khz 16 bit stereo.
Any ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated. I'm at my wits' end!

I had a problem similar to that once before....I am trying to think of what we changed to make it work....maybe 8 bit instead of 16 ??? I could be wrong, but give that a try.

load audio file into a audio editor..and cut of the first 00001 sec just a little snipped
That might do the trick ..
Even with the stuff in my studio i sometimes run into this hickup.. not with poser but other tools etc etc..
Try is with a backup file first .. !!
