In UV Mapper Pro there is an option to make all polygons double sided.
If someone has clicked this option, and saved the model, is there any way to undo this.
Poser cannot handle the double sided polygons, and I need to find a way to make the polygons single sided again.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Hi Helgard,
I had that happen once and in Z brush there is the option to auto group your figure. I auto grouped the figure and Zbrush basically gave all the inside shell different groups than the outside shell and I was able to delete the inside groups. There are probably other ways, but thats all I know of. Also it will not work if you have welded all the facets together.
cheers,
Mike.

Thanks,
Unfortunately I don't have Zbrush, and I think this model has been welded.
I have tried a few options in various modellers, but no luck so far.

It might be possible to fix it in Lightwave, there's 2 options with that prog, if the whole model has been made double sided then it should be possible to select all the surfaces and use the surface editor to make everything single sided again, since LW uses it's surface editor to determine whether a poly is single or double sided, if that doesn't work there's a plugin that selects just double sided polys, I think it only selects one side of them, and then they can be deleted.
If you want me to take a look at it PM me and we'll work something out that way.
Cheers

You can use the grouping tool in poser. Just select the outside polys and then spawn prop. Of course if it is a very complex model this could be a pain.

Lightwave has a command to merge any polys that occupy the same position. The biggest problem with it is that you might get some facing the wrong way. in a big model its a pain . It may be possible to select the outside only , invert selection and delete them that way .
Contact me if you want me to try fixing it.
