Does anyone else have the occasional problem of losing the mouse pointer in Poser 4 and having to close out (e.g. via task manager in Vista), and if so is there a solution or a work-around?

Try pressing the space bar.

Thanks, pressing the space bar doesn't help, but I've concluded the problem is in the Prop (PP) file, a building scene. No virus, so it's probably a corrupted file.

If Poser isn't truly dead, you should generally be able to use Alt F to access the File menu and then save your work and quit from there.

Thanks, I'll remember that.

I recall having such a problem when I used Poser 4 - I believe I could usually get the cursor back by changing the screen resolution briefly and then changing it back.

Well that's an interesting idea, and thanks. However the problem must be largely a matter of the file itself, a downloaded scene, because it happens even when I've re-downloaded and re-installed the pp2 file, and even after converting it to an Obj file. I appreciate the help.
