Um, er, a 323 MB file does not a "quickie" make, no? :scared:

Very cool looking ship! 323MB for 8 sec? I ran GSpot on the first few KB and it said the format is BI_RGB Raw Bitmap. You need to use a compression codec, DIVX, XVID, MP4 etc. You can use the free VirtualDub to compress your clip. You may need to download one of the above mentioned codecs if they'ne not on your system already.www.virtualdub.org/index Either that or I think Poser (or most apps) should allow you to select a compression codec when saving an animation.

Okay, redid the video, 690 kb.
Thanks for the suggestions, as you can tell I'm not an animator/video tech...just an artist!

I like the effect on the rotor blades. Poser's 2D motion blur?

That came out really well. Cockpit(s) are a bit wide for single occupant but that's minor, great model.

But ...
690 KB doth a quickie make! ... YES !!!
It downloaded in only 1**.**82456 seconds (approximately).
Nice job on both the model AND the animation. :thumbupboth:

Great job - nice realistic action! Could be the basis of a whole series of near future military gear.
"I'm not an animator/video tech" - me neither, just gleaned from fiddling with various downloaded er educational films.

No, it's geometry switching with custom transparency maps.
Thanks for all of the feed back!

Very cool a little Russian Mi-24 and Mi-28 looking. Love the counter rotating blades.

Very good eye. It's actually a mish-mash between 3 different designs, a total frankenstein. All I remember for the models is Sikorsky and Mi, can't recall the other.

Hehehe at one time it was my job to know what was what in Russian choppers. The shrouded tail rotor reminds me of the HH-65 Dolphin used by the Coast Guard. Is this a personal pet project or something you are cooking up to sell?

lol! Very nice call Pagan, that exactly what the tail is! Starting to remember all of this now; Sikorsky, Hind or Mi, and the Dolphin.
It's going to be for sale, working on some diffuse and bump maps for the armor.

Are those really supposed to be counter-rotating rotors? Because if they are then the helicopter doesn’t need a tail rotor. Also if they are counter rotating the leading edges of the blades on one of the rotors should be facing the opposite direction.
