Hi, i was wondering if it is possible to overlay an image in the Viewport so that i can line up the perspective and create a background for an already rendered image. (from Daz Studio)

You mean, add a backdrop image? :) as posted earlier today, edit camera properties, tick use backdrop, load image, but note, try and render to same size as imported image (I was wrong about suare ratio, I think! :p)
