Just downloaded a freebie prop in DAZ and this time I thought what's the use of those numbers and acronyms that comes before the filename:
9251_2_dpc_(filename of freebie).exe
Anyone got ideas? Are these even necessary?

It is like their catalog number dpc I think stands for Daz Stuido PC.

On a mac but the file I downloaded was 9251_2_dpc_PortableGenerator_2.zip
Not sure what the numbers mean other then internal cataloging at Daz. There was a person a year or so ago that developed some scheme for the numbers and published it. Then screamed foul when Daz broke that scheme :)
To me anytime the downloaded file has dpc in it, I assumed that meant it was for Poser.

I've been seeing those numbers for years. If you're going through your archives, it's a good way to find Daz stuff..
