Hi Folks. Well after tearing my house upside down and pulling out about half of my remaining hair, I have concluded that my Carrara 6 Pro disks and serial are gone for good. As a result, I have to replace it. Someone had mentioned a while back that a magazine had a copy of it included with one issue. Could someone tell me what magazine that was and what issue. Also if anyone knows where it can be purchased from, it would be helpful. Thanks.
Rich

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, that issue is now out of stock so I guess I am royally pooched again. This is not my year. If I spend $500 on software, my better half will put me on a spit and roast me up for the 4th. of July...

Ummm will spending $29.00 for a book with a disk of Carrara 6 Pro be more to your liking???
Go to DAZ3D and buy "figures, Characters and avatars. The offical guide to using Daz Studio to create beautiful art". Now the book is useless but the DVD is a treasure trove. You might find Carrara within. :sneaky:

ISTR one of 'em in the d|s forum here said that c6.2 came with a book that some guy wrote about d|s3.

The 3D World mag "Up" movie cover issue in California book stores has it (and also Hexagon 2.2) inside.

If you registered it, perhaps you can download it from Daz, and then what Thunderstone, ShawnDriscoll said.

Yes good idea. That might be possible to use one of the freebie Carrara Pro 6 discs out there with a registered serial number from your DAZ account.
Or reset download for Carrara?

The book deal is by far the best value. It comes with full versions of Studio, Hexagon, Carrara Pro, and who lot of FREE models. Unforunately, it is no longer sold at Daz but you can get it for $25 on Amazon with FREE shipping!

I went to amazon and ordered the book new for just $23.09. It Didn't mention anything about a CD being included, but I hope it does include one. I also hope this isn't the 30 day trial version that I downloaded from daz last year. I did manage to extend the 30 days into 60 days by not quiting the program and would probably still be using that version today if that damn power outage hadn't shut everything down in my area!
By the way - the trial version was the first time I used Carrara 6 and it is really great. It is still so much like the Ray Dream Studio of old that the learning curve for me was very short and all the new features were easy to learn too.
