Does anyone think E-on might release something of a major update or maybe news of Vue 8 Infinite this August at Siggraph? When do you think something big will be added to Vue and what do you think it will be?
My wish list includes:

I think they will offer big discounts of Vue 7.5 Infinite to visitors of their booth during the show.

I am betting Vue 8 will be announced with the usual pre-order process near the end of the year.
If anything I hope they have improved the terrain editor if nothing else.

That be funny if Vue 8 came out before a patch for 7.5 is released.
Or a tragedy. Well... either way.

Thanks for the replies. I think at the very least we may hear some news at Siggraph. :)

I didn't see Poser 8 mentioned in their schedule for the three days there. Maybe someone can ask Ami or Vladimir Chopine about Poser 8 while they are there? I'm sure a lot of Poser users go to SIGGRAPH these days.

Hi,
please,
anybody can help me to understand what e-on means about the new Vue8 features of "directional displacement"?
Thanks!

I suspect that it means that the displacement of the surface can be in any direction, i.e. along an arbitary vector instead of just along the normal.

I sure hope it'll feature a new option, Resume Animation - basically an option that lets you resume an animation render, just as Vue lets you resume still-pic renders. :)

lol!!!!
Vue 8, already...
Wow, these upgrades are coming fast. Glad, I'm waiting for Vue 12.5. lol...
That gives some time to think if it is even worth it.
Is the bonny clump bug fixed yet?
Do they still have that same lame unreal way of making stars?
Can we do shadow mattes easily, yet?
Has the terrain editor been revamped or is it a superficial facelift like most of e-ons upgrades.
These are only a few of the questions I will ask myself before upgrading e-on's software ever again.
