**Hey,
I have the new DazStudio 3 (free) version but loading content (Native)
just is not happening for me ??
I can create my Poser runtimes ....no trouble at all and they all work just fine.
When it comes to Daz content its hopeless .
The installer is given the correct path to the location it completes the install as being successful....end of story no trace..
So cannot import through manager as I did with my Runtimes.
What is the correct path now like c:program filesdaz3d
or is it c:program filesdazstudiocontent as it used to be?
Never had this problem with any of the previous versions
Can any one help please?
**

Have a look if you have two content directories for DAZ {eg: DAZ/studio/contents/ , DAZ/studio3/contents/} ...
You may not be searching the correct directory. You can add them from the Preferences Tab.
Example of how my directories are listed in the Preferences Directories Tab.
Daz Studio Formats:
DAZ/Studio3/contents/
DAZ/Studio/contents/shader mixer presets/presets/
Poser Formats:
DAZ/Studio/contents/
Other Supported Formats:
DAZ/Studio/contents/

Content should not go into the application folder, especially not On Windows Vista or Windows 7 where the OS may be obstructive if you try. By default, if you don't have other directories already set up, DS 3 will put the default content folder in your Documents folder and will also use a folder in the User folder for some of the core files (which includes some of the new shaders, which really shouldn't be there).

Many thanks to you all for your help.
Would I be able to keep all my content files Poser Runtimes and DazStudio files on a partition as I have sliced my hdd in two?
(Plenty of storage space)
Leaving the Daz3D app on my C: drive.
I am not all that keen on using Documents for my content folders.
Have developed the trait of using Documents for a temp holding area not as an archive . But I see what you mean
Will experiment
Thankyou.

That should be fine - I put most of my third-party content in categorised content folders on my D: drive, with my own files in the folder in my documents folder on E: and the application on C:.
