Greetings All,

I would like to use one of my renders as a desktop background. I know that there is a "render dimensions" tab, but I dont know how to figure out the right diemensions. I tried it but the render came out looking kinda stretched out.

Thanks in Advance for any help

Please spay and neuter your pets. Strongly consider shelter adoption before spending $500 to $1000. If you MUST part with that kind of money for a pet, go to your local shelter, donate the money to them and pickup a highly adoptable pet. The shelters could sure use the donation.

  1. Check your screen size, e.g., 1024x768 or other.
(for Windows, right click on a blank part of  the desktop and select "Properties" >>> "Settings" (tab))

  2. (in Poser) ... Render to your screen size, e.g., 1024x768 or other, and save the image.

  3. Load your image and set your wallpaper to be "centered."

And ... that should do it. ๐Ÿ˜„

The ratio is 4 to 3

800600
1024
768

ect...

*(click on the image to view it full size)*

FYI ... ๐Ÿ˜„ ... some newer widescreens may use a 16 x 9 ratio.  (1.777, e.g., 1600 x 900)

Mine is not 4 to 3. Mine is 1920 x 1200, which is 8 to 5.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Nope 4x3 won't look too good on a widescreen monitor if you have one.
