Hi Jen. I read in one of the P8 threads that you hoped the new renderer could help do a tilt-shift effect, how's this? No need for P8! :)
This was done in PoserPro, but should be doable in P7 too, I didn't try. It's a straight render saved as a .tif, and all I've done to it is signed it and save-for web in CS4 to upload it here.
Now, there is a slight caveat, and that is that I needed to use a Python script to help, and that was AdvancedRenderSettings by semidieu. This is because it allows you to select two actors for min/max distance for DoF. I added 2 ball props (made invisible for the render), one just in front of the car, and one at the corner of the building.
I upped the pixel samples in my render settings, and then I rendered.
Anyway, I needed a break from the P8 threads whilst my P8 content downloads, (only about another 5 hours, yay! Shame it's been downloading for about 4 already!) so had a play at a tilt-shift effect. Hope you liked it :)
