This is what I came up with for the Pose Room.  I turned my Library into a non-dockable, floating window that's off by default and appears on top of the Hierarchy editor pane when I press the shortcut button (mapped to the unused Search button on my keyboard).

Where did the camera trackball go?

How do you turn off docking by default?

heh, the Render pane is showing.  I only use the controls in the preview pane, never liked the "Camera Controls" floater so I hid it.  You can close just about anything that you don't use too much.  I'm not animating a lot so I closed the animation controls, for example.

Okay, when the window is docked, you have a little square in the upper right corner.  right-click that and click on Drag-Dock Enabled to deselect the checkmark.  You can also switch from Docked to Floating this way.

Where is the library?!

It floats back when I press a keyboard key (have the shortcut mapped to a key):

I see that the Editing Tools and Document Display Styles can still be arranged horizontally.  I'd wondered about that.

Can they still be set vertically?

You can assign your own hotkeys in P8?  Is there now an interface for this, or did you manually edit the XRC file?

Little Dragon,

You can just float them by dragging into the middle of the screen (where preview is) and reshape to vertical or horizontal or even 2 columns if you wanted to :)

The snapping feature is well implemented with docking windows.  Areas that you can dock into give off a glow effect.  Sometimes it takes a wee bit of fiddling.

No, the standard Library hide/show shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+B.  I have a Natural Multimedia keyboard and I can map certain keys to evoke macros when pressed.  I changed the "Search" key on my keyboard to do Ctrl+Shift+B, which effectively lets me "toggle" the Library.

By the way for windows that are set to drag-dock enable, if you want to keep a window from docking, hold down Ctrl while dragging.

I can't post until I get home tonight, but last night, I just moved every last palette to 1 screen & left the room on the other.

1912 x 1052 is nice.

I can actually see all of my Dystopia stuff without having to move the camera.
