I have a planet or moon rather kind of figure. It's basically a circular shape. Is it possible in any way to extrude it? I would like to make it deformed, or even partially destroyed like in "Time Machine", is it possible in Poser?

You could use Magnets to deform it and / or  ...

Use the Grouping Tool to make sub-objects from it, i.e., partially destroyed.

In Grouping Tool, I can highlight some of the nodes from the globe, but what do I do after that?

I'm kinda new to the grouping tool thing. I only used it a few times before.

can you post an image of this prop/figure?  Do you have an image similar to what you are trying to achieve?

**@ camthaleon

Select a sub-group of polygons and then click >>> "Create Prop" ...

to make a new prop.

The "New Prop" is created in exactly the same location as the original so ...

Move the New Prop to see what it looks like.

I just tried to do that, i can indeed move the selected polygons this time. But the original globe remains unchanged. I even tried with a primitive ball figure. Is this because the object itself is hollow?

Nope, got it, okay, I know what you mean now.. Thanks!

Now ... if you want to make the Original figure (prop) change to the new (prop with missing pieces) ...
Try doing this ...

Make sure both objects are in exactly the same location ...*
Now use the (animated) transparency parameters of both objects to switch between them giving the appearance of the original being partially destroyed.
Pretty cool beans, no?
