We, the undersigned, are members of the online graphics community known as Renderosity (www.renderosity.com). While we welcome the recent decision to provide on-site hosting of members' free downloads (known as freestuff), we call upon the site's administrators to reconsider the recent changes made to the operation of the freestuff section, namely:

1. Retain the option to link to an external download site, for new freebies as well as existing ones.

2. Open external links in a normal sized window, not a reduced one.

3. Give the poster some control over what advertising is shown on the download page. For example, if the freebie is an add-on for a Renderosity marketplace item, that item should be one of those advertised. Additionally, items could be chosen from the poster's public wishlist, if they have one; or from their favourite merchants list.

3a) We realise and accept that advertising is necessary to fund the costs involved, but submit that it will be more effective when properly targeted.

3b) Those who choose to fund their own download costs should not be obliged to have intrusive and inappropriate advertising included with their offerings.
