 Hi guys and girls,
Just purchased F4 Pro Bundle. After downloading, I started installing the package with absolutely no problems. Then I came to The Freak 4 Base installer and opened it up as usual, went through the installation directions, clicked INSTALL and NOTHING! Tried it again and SAME THING! Reset my downloads, downloaded again and NOTHING!!

Everything in the Bundle installed without a hitch. What's up with F4 Base? Anyone with some idea? I'm on a IMac 20" Core Duo 4 gigs ram.

"Can't really do much with what I've got without the Guest Of Honour!"

Thanks in advance for any help!

Namaste;-)

Are you installing it to the same runtime as M4Base & M4 Morphs++?

vidyashakti posted Sun, 23 August 2009 at 7:19 PM

Thanks much for the quick reply, M.

It's The Freak 4 and I'm just doing a standard install as I usually do with all of my products from DAZ. Open the installer, go through the directions and install. Nothing special. I've never had this problem before and I've been purchasing items from DAZ since 2005.

Does it give a message about a required file not being found?  Did you install it to the same runtime as M4?

vidyashakti posted Sun, 23 August 2009 at 8:13 PM

No. It does'nt give any message. It just sits there and yes the installation is in the same runtime. It says that the only required product for the F4 pro Bundle is M4 Base. It does'nt mention anything about morphs etc.

Does the Initialization run successfully at the end of the install?  Where does it stop working?

vidyashakti posted Sun, 23 August 2009 at 8:23 PM

Everything runs fine up to the point of installation. As soon as I click INSTALL, it does nothing.

BTW, thanks for the help and patience.

Does it give any error message?  Does it crash to the desktop?

vidyashakti posted Sun, 23 August 2009 at 9:20 PM

NO error message. NO crash. It just does'nt install. Nothing happens AT ALL.

mishamcm posted Sun, 23 August 2009 at 9:29 PM

Does it run at all?  Do you get the screens about whether to include an uninstaller, accepting the license agreement, selecting the path, etc.?

vidyashakti posted Sun, 23 August 2009 at 9:33 PM

Yes I get all the screens and follow them until the end and click install. Everything in the F4 Pro Bundle installed without a problem. It was just the F4 base.

Did you "Search for Content" if you're using a Category view?

After you click Install, what happens?

vidyashakti posted Mon, 24 August 2009 at 8:05 AM

Nothing. Nada. Entiendo. Nichts. Niente. A BIG blank!

vidyashakti posted Mon, 24 August 2009 at 8:10 AM

I've tried dumping my cookies and my cache, reset Safari and starting all over again. But still nothing seems to work. I'm definitely at a loss!

mishamcm posted Mon, 24 August 2009 at 10:22 AM

Can you post a screenshot of what you see after clicking on Install?

vidyashakti posted Mon, 24 August 2009 at 11:48 AM

I told you that there is nothing. Just my normal desktop. I click on install and the installer just sits there in the middle of my desktop. Nothing happens.

mishamcm posted Mon, 24 August 2009 at 11:54 AM

Does it continue to show the screen saying "There is now enough information to install", or a blank box?

vidyashakti posted Mon, 24 August 2009 at 3:13 PM

 It shows that screen.
