I will receive my Poser 8 tomorrow but my new laptop only in two weeks.
I will have to install now and then clear my existing computer before passing on to my daughter and reinstall on the laptop.
When you install, do you have to activate the Poser 8 online like Windows or do you only have to enter the serial number?
If I have to activate, then most probably I will rather wait for the laptop to arrive if SM is fussy about the number of times you reinstall.
Can somebody enlighten me please?
Two weeks is a very long 14 days - 14 ages - 14 long lifetimes to wait!

Poser 8 doesn't need to be activated. Just your serial number will do. :-)

In these days of having customers jump through 360 hoops, typing 3000 letter passwords while standing on one leg with both hands tied behind your back, Poser is a refreshing change where all you have to do is copy & paste the serial number into a box & click ok.

Yes, I hate programs with ultra long serial numbers. Sometimes you don't know if it is an O or an 0 or an I or a 1. fortunately I have read an article that SM do not use an O or an i and I know their serial are not too long.
Now I know tomorrow night Poser 8 will be loaded and I have an appointment with some new people.

yep always 0 & 1, never O or I, best to copy & paste directly from the email as you can't go wrong that way.
