I wish I could remember the exact quote, and who said it... but here's my recollection:
A Japanese swordmaster and poet said: You would not give your sword to one who was not a swordsman, why would you give your poems to someone who is not a poet?
So... since the subject of this is not a poet, and I learned my lesson a long time ago, I give it to any who might chance upon it here
Two Degrees from Kyle
Fool,
romantic fool -
fool none the less.
Everything, it seems,
is but two degrees
from Kyle.
Nothing
to expect -
in reality, nothing.
Everything, it seems,
is but two degrees
from Kyle.
Heart -
heart and head;
shield not harden.
Everything, it seems,
is but two degrees
from Kyle.

I think that's excellent, both in concept and in expression.
