Subject: Poser 8 to Vue 6 Infinite

I was wondering if anyone had a good import method to view besides the Vue native import for Poser.  I want to use Poser figures in Vue, but I know if won't see the new Poser--I have Vue 6 Infinite and am trying not to upgrade.

I have not been able to import any Poser 8 pz3 into Vue 6 Infinite, but have been able to import pz3 if the model was from the Poser 8 library, not any of the imported Runtimes.  That did not work.  Sharen

No issues at all here - I just use the usual 'Import Object' on the PZ3.
And it works nicely with or without using the poser materials.

Sorry to hear you're having problems Sharen  :(

It is a pity that these amazing original P8 characters won't be imported in Vue 6!  And it is even more worrying that (my) Vue 6i crashes when I try to import P8 hair!

At least there is no problem with other figures. So the problem must be the P8 CRC. There must be something new in there that Vue doesn't stomach. I really would like to know from a Smith Micro man what it is and if there is no way to change this (by a special python script or whatsoever).

P8 figures have a different kind of rigging. Can't tell you the details, but I suspect that's the source of the issues with them.

Dunno why hair would be problematic.
