bored in all the rain.. did the original vid just to make sure everything fit correctly, well actually fit incorrectly if that makes since... wanted some flaws that make it more real... anyway.. figured I'd share since it's pouring out from the tropical storm Danny....

That's going to be a bit of work, but considering what there is so far, it should turn out nicely. I wonder how well this will work with any rigging and Sparrowhawke3D's wheels plugin and his tracks & chains plugin.

ya, it's certainly a learning experience!!! The hard part is going to be the derailleur!

Any more progress? I know I'd save the deraileur and chain for last. (Lots of little bits, and you need the other geometry there in order to position them correctly.)
And are you doing traditional spoked wheels or composite? You'll probably want to google a bit on "bicycle wheel building" to do research if you're going with spoked wheels. (So you can figure out the count, cross pattern, and stagger.) Composite wheels are a lot easier to model in comparison.

I actually build my own wheels on my bikes so that's not so much an issue as the best way to lay it out in 3D
