Hi all.  I'm applying a transparency map to the skirt that runs around the edge of the top of this tent, and in places it renders the shadow just fine along the scalloped edge, but in others the shadow isn't following the transparency.    How can I fix this so the whole thing renders correctly?

Here's a wireframe without transparency.

I searched the forum here and found a suggestion to raise the bias on the raytraced shadow.  I've done that in the sunlight and it seems to fix it.    Rendering now.

Not that I have an answer but it's so nice to see someone who utilizes transparency maps! Many people would have modeled the scallops and added a lot of unnecessary polygons to the model :) I like low poly things! And so does Poser :)

I hope the shadow bias is the answer to the problem!

It worked.  Just changed the shadow bias, and the artifacts no longer appear.

In the original, Shadow Bias was .01, changing that to 2 fixed it.

Where did you get those tents?  They're nice.

I'm modeling them.  They're military tents from the American Revolution.  The one on the far left was George Washington's.
