Hi, I've been using Pro 6 Studio on a Mac and am contemplating getting Vue 7 Complete mainly due to the likely event version 8 won't run, or run well, on my G5 PPC. I also would like the export and the eco-paint. Otherwise, 6 is relatively stable for me. I have made somewhat of a pact with myself to avoid software that chokes my machine until I go Intel.

I've been reading various things about the questionable stability of 7 on a Mac, so I'm wondering what the latest verdict is after the latest updates, and particularly anyone having a similar machine (Dual G5 2.3). Thank you!.

 That's my setup!

I must say I have the feeling the Mac OSX 10.5.8 I run is slightly worse for circumstances as the Mac OSX 10.4 I use at work. Rendering will easily stop when trying to do other things, and typing in words/numbers seem to go slow. Somehow it seems like the NVIDIA GeForce 6600 does not play well either, but I am not sure what kind of card is at the work computer.

In short, it runs better at work. But rendering without tyring to do other things seems to work okay.

I do want an Intel machine...

Here 's my setup:
PowerMac (PPC) G5 dual 2.3GHz with OSX 10.4.9 and 4.5GB RAM with an NVIDIA GeForce 6600 video card. I have Vue Infinite 7.21-04 build 39290 and it is pretty stable (crashes are rare but occasionally do happen)
As you can see i'm way behind on soft- and hardware updates but, i'm also sticking with this setup until Mac OSX with 64 bit is 100% integrated and Vue Infinite will work flawlessly in 64 bit on the Mac. If the time is right, only then i will buy a new Mac running OSX 64 bit and plenty RAM and only then will i buy/upgrade to Vue 8 (or mayby 9 by that time)

But basically at this moment Vue runs fine on my machine, the only drawback i get is that the more i wanna do in Vue, the slower things get due to the 32 bit and the current RAM on the PowerMac.
