With some characters - not all - when I choose body and then go to properties (usually to change the name of the character) - the property panel is blank. I've just redone the preferences, having assumed that might be the problem, but that hasn't improved matters. Any comments, ideas?

Save preferred state still won't keep the  translate tool selected as default, by the way. I thought SR1 was going to fix this.

(G5, 8Gb RAM, 2 x 2.7GHz processors; Poser 8 with SR1).

I assume you've tried a restart of Poser, possibly a reboot of the computer.

I just tried loading Bong and I don't have that problem. Which OS are you using? The typeface looks ever so slightly different than mine...

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Ah Mac. Hmm. I've had it happen a few times myself (on a PC) but a restart has always cleared it up. The only other thing I can think of is if the OBJ is corrupted, but in that case the figure itself is missing in the scene as well.

Mind you, there's a chair included in the Poser 8 content (for that saloon ow whatever it was) which does the same. It's even locked halfway in the floor. It's clearly there, but with no properties. Never quite figured that one out either...
