i installed the ty2 mermaid and loaded it into my poser scene, it comes up with:
please locate obj.
no obj is in any of the downloaded files
(yes  i have run the poser uncompress obj script.)
all i find is a rte file
thanks

I don't have the TY2 mermaid myself, but it sounds like it uses an 'encoded' OBJ.

RTE Encoder should allow you to extract the new OBJ: http://www.rtencoder.com/

There's a handy illustrated tutorial on the process: http://www.rtencoder.com/2007/09/21/rtencoder-decoding-tutorial/

The key file to decode the RTE is probably the original OBJ for TY2

Which TY2 mermaid are you referring to? I think there are a couple out there. If you open the mermaid's CR2 file in a text editor, what is the path to its OBJ file? You'll see it written a few lined from the top.

I know PhilC's version was included in a Poser Expert book. That only included the mermaid parts. TY2 had to have been previously purchased to load the full mermaid character.

I presume 'WTF' in this case means "Where's the fins"...
