I'm throwing a big ol dinner on Monday for friends here in NC -- and one said, in response to the invite, "Gosh, we dont normally celebrate Columbus Day like this!"
I think I might hit him -- hard -- when he shows up.

Thanks! I'm having a non-traditional dinner on Monday: pork roast with roasted veggies and apple sauce.

Thanks Mary!! We're celebrating tomorrow with all the fixings and it's been a gorgeous Thanksgiving weekend here...trees are glorious colours right now and Autumn is definately in the air with crisp mornings but lovely weather none the less.
All the best from the Niagara Region!!
